The Philadelphia Union Lose Friendly Game over the Weekend

The Philadelphia Union started out the weekend at PPL Park in Chester this weekend in a Friendly match against the Crystal Palace. The Union lost 1-0, but not for a lack of trying. They had several shots towards the end of the match that missed by mere inches.

Goaltender Andre Black had a steller performance, bailing the Union out of an even worse defeat.

“I want to do everything I can to help my team win” said Blake “I come into training camp every day to work hard and show my skills. I wish we could have gotten the win, but it was good to get in there and and get a full 90 in.”

The Union go on the road to take on Kansas City in their next match on Friday, August 1st. Kansas City sits atop the Eastern Division with a record of 11-5-5, so next week the Union really have to step it up.
